Tuesdays with Morrie

After complaining about the excessive philosophizing in my last read Shantaram, I went ahead and read Mitch Albom’s Tuesdays with Morrie. But it was not as bad because I was expecting wise words and truisms. The book was a quick and easy read and the life’s philosophies from the mind of a dying old man were believable and acceptable. Fortunately the book did not get overwhelming at any point. I am surprised at the amount of people who have read and enjoyed this book and it’s nice to know that because not many of us are interested in the lives (and deaths) of senior citizens. But the older generation has much to offer and teach, and this book seems like a sincere attempt to promote that.
